Firm Overview

Warren John West has 35 years of trial experience with the last 30 years here in Bend and uninterrupted.

You will find your visit to our office to be a "no-pressure" experience. Hiring a personal injury or wrongful death attorney is a serious decision and one that you should not take lightly. People have asked us "how do you go about selecting a personal injury or wrongful death attorney?" Our response is simple and to the point:

  • First, check out the attorney. Go to people whose judgment or opinions you value and find out what they have to say about our office. These people should include your friends, neighbors, court personnel, people with prior jury service, and other people that may have met or seen Warren John West in his representation of his clients.

  • Second, meet with Warren John West. Try to determine if you feel comfortable or can establish a rapport with him. You should make your own decision regarding how thorough and experienced he is in representing people with personal injury or wrongful death problems. You need to determine if you can work with him as the two of you try to resolve your claim.

  • Finally, go home and make your decision about retaining our services or not in the comfort of your own home where no one is placing any pressure on you one way or the other. Treat this decision as you would treat any other important decision that you make in life.

If you make the decision to contact the Law Offices of Warren John West about your personal injury or wrongful death problem, you will meet with him personally. It will not be some other attorney or associate. He will go over your case, inform you of the applicable law to be applied in your case, and tell you what types of things you should do and not in your case. This meeting is free. No pressure will be placed upon you to retain our services. In most cases at the close of the meeting, you will be provided a questionnaire about yourself, about the injury, and a sample contingent fee agreement. You will be informed that you should go home and make your decision whether or not you want to retain our services away from our office. If you choose to retain our services, you will be informed that you need to get the paperwork back to our office and make a later appointment to see us again.

After you retain our offices, we will want to meet you on a regular basis, at least every two to three months. In this way we will be able to learn much more about how the injuries have impacted your life and your lifestyle. We will be able to answer any questions that you may have and provide you with progress reports in connection with your claim. In the process, you will get to know much more about us and our representation of you.

Our office believes strongly that before a claim is resolved, either by settlement or trial verdict, we must have answers to two important questions that are very common-sensical. First, what are your specific injuries from the incident. We want to know what tissues were damaged and how extensively. In order to answer this question you will need to see various medical providers and have some diagnostic tests. After we can answer the first question, we then go to the second question, which is the most difficult of the two and probably the one that concerns you most. The second question is what residual problems, what problems might you continue to have after 5, 10, or 15 or more years from these same injuries. If you resolve your claim without having answers to these questions, you are simply taking your chances of being victimized again. Your claim is too important to be taking any such chances. We need the best information available to determine what future problems you may have from these injuries.

Our offices will always treat you in a professional manner in a warm atmosphere where you will get personal attention. It is quite common that clients turn into our friends in the course of our representation.
